On the morning of August 10, the grand 16th “National Fitness Day” exhibition took place in Citizen Square, organized by the Ruichang City Senior Sports Association of Jiangxi Province and co-hosted by its Square Dance Committee, Tai Chi Committee, Cheongsam Culture Committee, and Qigong Committee.

Ruichang City’s sixteenth “National Fitness Day” event presented a spectacular exhibition, showcasing the essence of sports and health!

Tai Chi, a traditional and enchanting martial art, encompasses deep philosophical and cultural meanings. The movements demonstrated by the Tai Chi Committee embody both strength and softness, flowing fluidly, representing the richness of Chinese martial arts.

The Square Dance Committee expressed the beauty and passion of life through energetic dance steps. The lively rhythm and graceful movements conveyed the message that with dance in our hearts, every place can turn into a stage. Through this cheerful rhythm, they exhibited a positive attitude and spread the uplifting spirit of “Love Each Other”.

The First Tai Chi Kung Fu Fan was initiated by the Beijing Senior Sports Association to support Beijing’s bid for the 2008 Olympic Games and to promote physical wellness among the elderly. This routine quickly captured the public’s attention and affection. It merges the essence of traditional Chinese martial arts, incorporating Tai Chi movements with diverse martial arts styles, and skillfully blends fan waving with Tai Chi forms.

The Twelve Methods of Qigong for Health is a new exercise program developed by the State Sports Administration. It is grounded in the traditional Chinese medicine theory of zangfu meridians and integrates guidance for health, physical activity, and spiritual cultivation. This program is suitable for various demographics, offering benefits such as disease prevention, body strengthening, and longevity. Participants from the Qigong Committee perform the routines gently and slowly, maintaining a harmonious mindset, exuding peace and tranquility.
