It was winded, but Lamar Jackson and his people ended up unfolding
New-York Jets (0-1) – Baltimore Ravens (1-0) : 10-24
If the score is wide, the Ravens had more trouble than it seems to get rid of the Jets. It was not until the 3rd quarter to finally see the attack of Lamar Jackson (17/30, 213 yards, 3TD, 1INT) take over.
The quarterback first sent a 17-yard pass directly to Devin Duvernay (4rec, 54 yards, 2TD) in the endzone before raising the public with a 55-yard bomb for Rashod Bateman (2rec, 59 yards, 1TD ). 2 touchdowns launched in quick succession to lead 24 to 3 and remind that the quarterback has a contract to get!
A sluggish start
Before that, we were initially bored in New York. Between an attack led by the too old Joe Flacco (37/59, 307 yards, 1TD, 1INT) and a clumsy attack (at the start…) from the Ravens, it took a long time to see the first big actions in this game.
The first came from the Baltimore defense and its new recruit, Marcus Maye, who returned an interception up to 13 yards from the Jets. Except that offensively the Ravens are not there and are satisfied with a field goal (0-3). One of the big differences with past years can be seen in particular in the inefficiency on the ground in Baltimore.
And then Baltimore ends up finding the fault a few minutes before halftime. It takes 59 seconds and 3 assists for the Ravens to open the scoring (0-10) through Duvernay on a pass from Jackson.
New York does not abdicate and manages to score its first points in the next series with a field goal (3-10) to stay within range when returning to the locker room.
Baltimore regains its rank
After an exchange of punt to start the second half, it was once more the Ravens who struck first. As in the first half, we resume Jackson-Duvernay for a new touchdown (3-17) on a reception of 17 yards from the young receiver. Then the Ravens quarterback does a double blow, this time finding Bateman (3-24).

Imperial until then, the visitors’ defense continues its recital by forcing a fumble while the Jets were finally in the opposing red zone. It must be said that opposite it is still very limited… The Jets end up “saving” the honor at the end of the meeting with a reception for touchdown (10-24) from Tyler Conklin (4rec, 14 yards, 1TD) .
We can still wonder regarding the Jets’ game plan, which had pre-retired Joe Flacco throw 59 (!!) balls once morest one of the best air defenses in the league…
