R&B SINGER Jesenn returns to greet his fans with a new single titled Baik Adanya. Last March, Jesenn released the single Bahagia Ya Kamu.
The single Baik Adanya was created by Stefanus LJ and Desmon Latif. Jesenn was also involved in making it, although he did not make many changes because he considered the song to be good.
“When I received this song, I got a draft that I thought was okay. There were only a few parts of the verse that I changed a little. If you count, maybe I was only involved in writing 10% because the song is already beautiful,” said the singer whose real name is Jason Gunawan.
It didn’t take Jesenn long to work on this song as it only took two weeks, from getting the demo to recording.

However, for the music video and visuals, he admitted that it took a month because there was a lot of material that had to be completed.
With a relatively fast completion time, the soloist born in Cirebon, October 28, 1997, was grateful that he was assisted by many parties, especially Barsena Bestandhi as vocal director, so that he did not encounter any significant obstacles.
“I am grateful that the process of making this song went smoothly. One of them is Barsena’s help as a vocal director. He found many singing styles that I never tried during recording. Finally, sweet and suitable notes appeared for this song,” said Jesenn

Although Baik Adanya still carries the pop RnB genre, in terms of song content, Jesenn feels there has been a change.
If his previous singles talked more about love, here, he talks about life and the anxieties felt by Gen Z kids.
“In this fifth single, I have begun to find what kind of singer I want to be and the message I want to convey to my listeners. My goal as a singer is to convey a strong message through my songs and that is expressed in Baik Adanya that a better tomorrow will always exist,” he explained.

Furthermore, Jesenn revealed that this song will talk about the future because he knows that young people today often think about tomorrow with excessive worry.
“I know, people who are my age now often overthink about the future. What will I be? In the future, what will I be like? This song talks about how life is already arranged and according to its respective portions. The One Above has provided the right time for everything in our lives. This is also a reminder for me as a musician that everything has its way and all I can do is live my life as best I can,” explained Jesenn
Entering the fifth single marks a new chapter for Jesenn who joined Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia in 2022.
“You could say, I feel like I’m finding myself more and more and in the future, Jessen’s character will be stronger in every single I have. As an opener, in this fifth single, the vocals and arrangement are deliberately made simple, but what I offer is the meaning of this song. I hope that everyone who listens can absorb what I want to convey in Baik Adanya and can apply it in everyday life,” said Jesenn.
“Ultimately, through this fifth single, I just want to say that everything in our lives has been arranged as well as possible by the Almighty. Whatever worries you have today, let it be finished today because tomorrow will have its own troubles. All the fears and anxieties we face today will surely be good and will bear beautiful fruit in time,” concluded Jesenn.
