Jenelle Evans Will Not Appear on Season 3 of ‘Teen Mom: The Next Chapter’

reality TV star Jenelle Evans announced that she will not be returning for the third season of MTV’s “Teen Mom: the next Chapter.” The news came during a December 28th TikTok Live, uploaded to the TeenMomChatter Instagram page. Evans stated that ”MTV has decided not to use [her] for this season,” which premieres on January 30th. This announcement comes after Evans returned to the ”Teen Mom” franchise for the second season of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” following a five-year hiatus.
Although Evans didn’t elaborate on the reason behind the network’s decision, she hinted at providing further explanation in a future social media post. “There’s a big quote that I’m going to put out in a video. And I’ll explain it. But yeah, not doing that this year,” Evans shared in the TikTok video.
She did, though, mention that she has exciting projects on the horizon, notably focusing on her cannabis business, which was featured in the second season of “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.”
Evans Reflects on Season 2 and Hopes for More Visibility
Earlier in September, Evans had expressed uncertainty about her future on the show during a TikTok video.”Honestly, I have no idea,” she admitted to her fans.
Evans also revealed that footage featuring her and her children, jace, Kaiser, and Ensley, was left unseen in the second season. Specifically, she expressed disappointment that viewers didn’t get to see the entirety of a significant conversation she had with her son Jace in season 2, episode 15. “I know you guys saw like 30 seconds of it. But really,it was a lot longer than that. And a lot more in-depth than that,” she explained.
August Keen Praises jenelle Evans’ Character
In a different December 2024 TikTok Live,Evans’ boyfriend,August Keen,shed light on Evans’ positive attributes. Keen highlighted her generosity, sharing that Evans generously donated a considerable amount of supplies to those impacted by Hurricane Helene, a detail she kept private.
“She never talks about that. And I find that to be super commendable and I like that about her character. She does a lot of good [expletive]. And she doesn’t speak on it. Shout out to Jenelle for being cute like that,” Keen said.
Keen also addressed rumors about his motivations for dating Evans, emphasizing his own financial independence prior to their relationship. “I don’t need Jenelle to be rich and powerful. I was rich and powerful before I even met Jenelle,” he clarified.

**Jenelle Evans:** Well, it wasn’t really my decision. MTV decided not to include me in season 3. It definitely came as a surprise, especially after being part of season 2. I was looking forward to continuing to share my story and life updates with the viewers.
**Archyde news Editor:** Understandable. You mentioned wanting to share your story. season 2 showcased some major changes and personal growth from your previous appearances on “teen Mom.” Was there anything in particular you were hoping to explore further in Season 3?
**Jenelle evans:** Absolutely. Season 2 was a really positive experience for me. I felt like I was able to show people a more mature and responsible side of myself. I was hoping to delve deeper into my relationship with my husband, David, and our blended family. it woudl have been great to showcase the positive habitat we’ve created after all the challenges we’ve faced.
