Jena Malone denounces that she was sexually assaulted during the filming of The Hunger Games | TV and show

The actress joined the saga in 2013, to be part of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

american actress Jena Malone has revealed through a message on her profile on social networks that she was sexually assaulted during the filming of the film series “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire”.

The actress (Nevada, 1984) joined the saga in 2013, giving life to Johanna Masonone of the past champions of the games and an ally of Katniss Everdeen, the main character played by Jennifer Lawrence.

Malone told his story on Instagram, along with an image of himself in a wheat field in France, taken following filming “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” which premiered in 2015.

“We were filming on a beautiful farm in the French countryside and I asked the driver to let me out into this field so I might cry and capture this moment,” his story began.

“Although that time in Paris was extremely difficult for me, I was going through a bad breakup and was also sexually assaulted by someone I had worked with, I was so filled with gratitude for this project, the people I became close with and this incredible role I had to play. A swirling mix of emotions that I am only now learning to sort through,” she added.

Malone’s traumatic relationship and The Hunger Games

“I wish it wasn’t related to such a traumatic event for me, but I think that’s the real debauchery of life. How to sustain chaos with beauty,” she continued.

“I have worked very hard to heal and learn through restorative justice how to make peace with the person who raped me and make peace with myself. It’s been hard to talk regarding The Hunger Games and Johanna Mason without feeling the sharpness of this moment, but I’m ready to get over it and recapture the joy and accomplishment I felt,” she confessed.

The actress, who recently premiered “Rebel Moon”, acknowledges that it has been a slow process, with ups and downs, and offers her support to any of her followers who are going through the same situation and need to be heard.

Much love to you survivors. The process is very slow and non-linear. I mean I’m here for anyone who needs to talk, vent, or open uncommunicative spaces within themselves. DM me if you need a safe space to be heard,” she closed.

Jena Malone has a long career where films such as Stay By Me, Donnie Darko, Pride and Prejudice, and Into the Wild Roads, among many others, stand out.
