Currently, it ranks first among low-flying carriers (LCCs) in the number of passengers transported to Japan and Vietnam.

Jeju Air transported 150,000 passengers in 2009, the first year of international flights, and exceeded 1 million in 2012, transporting 1.19 million passengers. Last year, a total of 6.07 million people were transported, narrowing the gap with 8.36 million people in 2019, which set the highest record, and caught up to 77%. It recorded a profit of 18.7 billion won and successfully turned to black. In addition, Vietnam and the Philippines routes, which are the main Southeast Asian routes, each recorded an average occupancy rate of 93% this year.

An official from Jeju Air said, “We transported regarding 98,200 out of 635,000 passengers transported by national airlines on Vietnam routes in service from January to February, and recorded a 27% market share among low-cost airlines, ranking first in the national LCC.” “During the same period, we transported regarding 100,000 of the 462,000 passengers transported by national carriers on Philippine routes, and ranked second with a market share of regarding 21%,” he explained.

Jeju Air will accelerate the re-operation of international flights and the increase in routes this year. From March 26, the Japanese small city Incheon-Matsuyama (5 times a week) and Shizuoka (3 times a week) routes will be re-operated, and Chinese routes such as Incheon-Yantai (6 times a week) will be re-operated from 5 times a week to 16 times a week. zoom in In addition, from April 20, the Incheon-Ho Chi Minh (seven times a week) and Hanoi (seven times a week) route will be re-operated.
