The absence of Mike Matheson risks being the first domino that will bring down a series of others among the Montreal Canadiens.
At least that’s what Renaud Lavoie said during his segment with Jean-Charles Lajoie on Friday.
“The Mike Matheson injury, I hope people realize how much it hurts. It hurts for the learning of young people. David Savard and Chris Wideman are the only two who are able to spend time with young people and help them. You need Mike Matheson and Joel Edmundson. This young defensive end may realize that playing in Washington is not easy.
The journalist from the TVA Sports channel therefore believes that the team’s management will have no choice but to move, sooner or later.
“I can’t wait to see how things turn out. I am convinced that, at some point, Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes will have no choice. We’re going to have to give this group some help.”
