The official spokesman for the Municipality of Jeddah, Muhammad Al-Baqami, denied that the Municipality closed last (Sunday) the Sharq Complex (one of Jeddah’s popular markets) located on Al-Makrona Street.
Al-Baqami confirmed to “Akhbar 24” that the complex has no removal work, nor was it closed by the Municipality, indicating that what happened was a field visit during which it was verified that there are some observations on the site that must be addressed.
Some residents of Jeddah circulated pictures of the closure of the East Complex in Jeddah for hours, and then its reopening.
The complex includes a number of commercial complexes that are separated by roads, and each complex specializes in selling specific supplies such as clothes, perfumes, spices, accessories, and others.
