Dubai, November 3 / WAM / The first evening of the Jebel Ali Racecourse races in the new season begins tomorrow, which will witness the holding of 11 races over more than 4 months.
Tomorrow, Al Mismar will open its racing season with a program that includes 7 rounds allocated to purebred hybrid horses, except for the first half, which will host the Al Wathba Stallions Cup for owners of private stables for purebred Arabian horses.
The beginner purebred Arabian horses will open the ceremony with the “Al Wathba Stallions Cup” race for private stable owners, sponsored by the His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival, with the participation of 17 horses aged 4 years and above over a distance of 1,400 metres, with prizes amounting to 70 thousand dirhams.
The second and third halves will witness two speed races for novice horses over a distance of 1,000 metres, for purebred hybrid horses, the “Novice Stakes” race sponsored by Al Shafar Investment, with the participation of 10 horses, with prizes of 60,000 dirhams, and the “Novice Stakes” race for two-year-olds, sponsored by the Emirates Speed Racing Series, with the participation of 6 Horses, and its prizes are also 60 thousand dirhams.
The fourth round of the “Commercial Bank of Dubai Cup” for purebred hybrid horses also witnesses the participation of 9 horses aged 3 years and above, for a distance of 1,200 meters – Handicap, sponsored by the Commercial Bank of Dubai, with a total prize pool of 76 thousand dirhams.
In the fifth round of the “Dubai Refreshment Cup” for purebred hybrid horses, for a distance of 1,400 meters, 11 novice horses will participate, with prizes amounting to 60,000 dirhams. He will participate in the sixth and main round of the “Season Opening Cup” for a distance of 1,600 meters – Handicap, sponsored by Shadwell Stables. 12 horses, with a total prize pool of 84 thousand dirhams.
In the final seventh round, 9 horses compete for the “Mashreq Irrigation Services Cup” for beginner horses over 3 years old, over a distance of 1,800 metres, with a total prize pool of 60,000 dirhams.
