As part of Pink October, Maud Mehaye, photographer, is committed to raising public awareness of breast cancer screening and paying tribute to women who are fighting.
For this 2022 edition, she is launching an exhibition of portraits, in black and white, in exchange for a donation. Proceeds will be donated to the League Against Cancer – Committee 28 Eure-et-Loir.
Embody the prevention campaign
Member of this association, Joanne Moulard, resident of Lèves, is sensitive to this campaign. Youngest councilor of the municipal team of this city, the young woman got involved very quickly.
“It’s only natural for me to mobilize around the fight once morest breast cancer,” she says. We are all directly or indirectly affected by this disease and it is not true that it does not happen to young people, the proof, I am 25 years old…”
Suffering from stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer, Joanne Moulard is mobilizing to raise awareness of this disease which “also affects young women”.
“Enable young women not to miss a diagnosis”
Currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, before a total mastectomy and radiotherapy, the Eurélienne has decided to speak.
She wants “to enable young women not to miss a diagnosis and to be able to be treated in time, by highlighting the prevention of breast cancer before the age of 40 and by helping other women in the same situation, for this passage in the disease which is a test terribly difficult to live also morally “.

Women of all ages, leading the same fight as Joanne Moulard, or not, ready to support this project, are invited to contact photographer Maud Mehaye for a black and white portrait. What might be more appropriate than passing in front of the lens to accompany Pink October? The last photo sessions will take place at the beginning of September.
