“I asked my wife for some water, but the pain didn’t go away. I still took the car towards the house, located regarding twenty minutes from the airport. Once there, I mightn’t climb the few steps that separated me from the front door. I lay down on the ground, in the garden, and we called for help. They then told me not to move,” recalled the former presenter of “Who wants to be a millionaire?”
Warning signs
The former TF1 star quickly realized that something serious was happening, with the pain felt, but also with a warning sign that had caught his attention. “I mightn’t put my shoes on before flying: my feet were swollen,” he said.
Once at the hospital, “I only saw ceilings and then I felt a kind of coolness, he continued. It was air conditioning and I had arrived in the operating room. She was already ready, it was great! The surgeons then unblocked a stent for me, and then I was admitted to the intensive care unit. I then went up one floor and rested for 5-6 days.”
“The care team revealed to me followingwards that I had suffered from two small cardiac arrests: the first in my garden, the other in the emergency room”, added Jean-Pierre Foucault who, following three weeks of convalescence, is currently continuing his rest.
