Since he was a child, at the age of 14, Jean Pierre began to breathe the sport of shooting. His father Fernando (RIP) was in charge of inheriting that passion to him. his brothers Herbert and Henry, who have fulfilled their role in keeping the passion alive, and in particular, in taking the sport to the highest level in world championships and Olympic cycle events.
Paris 2024 was her second Olympic Games, after having competed in London 2012 where he failed to advance to the final round, finishing in 28th place. However, his journey in the sport has been constant and as a result he has managed to become Pan American champion in the Guadalajara 2011 and Santiago 2023 editions.
“I have two gold medals in the Pan American Games, but in the Pan American shooting I have gold, silver and bronze. In the Central American and Caribbean Games I have about eight gold medals, plus silver and bronze medals. However, all that is history and I have to think about the present.in preparation for what is to come,” said Jean Pierre after triumphing at Santiago 2023.
The youngest of the Brol brothers sealed his qualification for the 2023 Santiago Pan American Games by winning gold. It was a show of strength and the level with which he arrived at the Paris Olympics, where he won bronze, but was also close to fighting for gold.
“It is gratifying to return to the Olympic Games. The day I won in Santiago I was very excited, the organization gave me a ticket with the image of Paris 2024. I spent several minutes without being able to speak because of the emotion. I face the qualification with a lot of responsibility,” he added in an interview for Free Press, after the Pan American Games.
