2023-10-07 20:29:10

In post for 3 years at the head of the Niger selection, Jean-Michel Cavalli left his functions by mutual agreement with his Federation, at the end of his contract which ran until the end of September.

The latest results obtained by Niger and the native of Ajaccio have been negative: 6 defeats in a row, 12 goals conceded for one goal scored.

He failed to qualify Niger for the last African Cup of Nations but reached the semi-finals of the last African Nations Championship (bringing together 18 selections made up of players playing only in a club in their country) .

Accustomed to working on the African continent, Jean-Michel Cavalli took the reins of Niger in October 2020. The Corsican coach’s last experience in France dates back to the 2012-2013 season, with Gazélec Ajaccio, then in Ligue 2.
