Jean Charest complains to the PLQ: the Liberals are not corrupt, plague Lise Thériault

Jean Charest complained to the Liberal Party of Quebec regarding having been manhandled by other political parties on his ethics. “Enraged”, MP Lise Thériault defended him and even asked the boss of UPAC to apologize to the former prime minister.

“It’s been 10 years since there have been allegations, that’s enough. I have never seen this. (…) I am not corrupt, my colleagues are not corrupt, and we will not accept being treated as corrupt”, she cursed, the day following a call with Jean Charest, candidate candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.

The day before, Dominique Anglade had lip serviced the balance sheet of Jean Charest. In the liberal ranks, this lack of solidarity was displeased.

On Wednesday, Lise Thériault went to the barricades, attacking the integrity of several elected rivals, from Minister Éric Caire to PQ parliamentary leader Joël Arseneau, via François Legault.

The Liberal MP recalled that the current Premier of the CAQ was responsible for financing the Parti Québécois when the Oxygen 9 scandal broke.

“Politicians who pass comments would do well to look at each other before throwing stones,” she continued. Éric Caire has embellished his CV in his leadership race. Who is he to talk to! »

Stung to the quick, the Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital was not asked to reply. “There are no Gorges Gantcheff, Marc Bibeau or Franco Fava in my CV,” he said, before going to the Blue Room for the parliamentary game. According to him, Quebecers remember more liberal governance than the errors in his CV.
