JC Jackson arrested by the Los Angeles Chargers

For JC Jackson, the week before Christmas began in prison. As “Boston 25 News” reports, the cornerback was admitted to the Bristol County Jail and House of Corrections in Massachusetts on Monday. A reporter learned this from a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

The background should be a family matter, but it is not regarding an act of violence. No further information was initially known.

His employer, the Los Angeles Chargers, said: “We are aware of the media reports relating to JC Jackson. We will obtain further information on this matter and refrain from further comments for the time being.”

Jackson has a five-year contract with the Chargers

Jackson came into the NFL undrafted in 2018 and particularly impressed with the New England Patriots with 25 interceptions in four years. Ahead of this season, the 27-year-old joined the Chargers, where he signed for five years and $82.5 million.

Making just five caps this season, the 2021 Pro Bowler will be out for the remainder of the season following tearing his patellar tendon in his right knee in Week 7.

Prior to his NFL tenure, Jackson was accused of armed robbery. He was charged with triple burglary with a deadly weapon and breaking into an apartment. However, the court acquitted him.
