JBL launches new gaming headsets | CEtoday

JBL is launching two new gaming headsets in its “Quantum” series: the Quantum 810 and the Quantum 610. Both headsets can be connected via a 3.5 mm audio cable, but also work wirelessly via 2.4 gigahertz wireless, as reported by JBL. The Quantum 810 can also be connected via Bluetooth 5.2.

Both headsets are equipped with JBL’s “QuantumSurround” system for surround sound. This allows “players to fully immerse themselves in the game and experience immersive 3D sound”. There is also a Discord-certified sound card, which is supposed to ensure a balance between game and chat audio.

Both Quantums feature a directional, speech-focused boom microphone with flip-up mute and echo cancellation. According to the manufacturer, the battery in the Quantum 610 lasts a good 40 hours and that in the Quantum 810 a good 30 hours. Both devices can also be used while charging.

Users can use the “JBL QuantumEngine” PC software to adjust the sound or check the RGB lighting elements on the headset.

The Quantum 810 is available for a suggested retail price of CHF 219. The Quantum 610 is also available for a suggested retail price of CHF 169.

If a black gaming headset with RGB elements isn’t original enough, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Logitech’s “Color Collection”. The manufacturer launched a mint-colored headset last year, as you can read here.
