For 4 days, the city of La Londe-les-Maures welcomes artists from all walks of life, who are keen to share a musical, festive and unique moment with the Riviera public. See you from August 4th to 7th under the pine forest of Argentière beach facing the sea!

The Londe Jazz Festival : warm, friendly, exciting and free… An event in the image of its founders, a group of friends who are fans of jazz and their lands in the Var.

Each evening will be divided into 3 parts:

  • From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., place aperitifs/jazz during which talents from the local and regional jazz scene will perform
  • From 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., the main stage will receive confirmed artists
  • Then to close the evening Jam sessions from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Andrea Caparros quartet.

If Londe-les-Maures has become a land of jazz with the festival, the city and its surroundings are also known for their vines. On the tray, more than thirty domains are devoted to the culture of Côtes de Provence La Londe. Discovering new artists while tasting local wines for free, such is the philosophy aperitifs/jazz.

Thursday August 4
Sophie Teissier Quartet at the opening of the festival. Singer and composer, the young artist scours clubs and jazz festivals where she knows how to give her voice! “It swings, it grooves, that’s all we love!.

Friday August 5
A quintet with Claude Basso ! Guitar, saxes, clarinet, double bass and drums come together to show all the richness of jazz.

Saturday August 6
Audience award at the jazz springboard in Porquerolles in 2019, Thomas Laffont stands out with the notes of rock and pop that he manages to integrate into his jazz environment. This is certainly due to the electric bass which is at the heart of his creations.

Sunday August 7
They are named John & John but Jonathan Soucasse, John Massa and Jérôme Mouriez actually form a trio. Between piano, saxophone and drums, they introduce us to a musical register that mixes jazz, soul, funk, current music and even classical.

If artists from all over France come to The Londe Jazz Festival, it is to live a new experience, between discovery of an exceptional site and a grateful public. It is also an opportunity for some to get out of their initial training and present a different show.

At only 33 years old, the singer and jazz pianist, Sarah Lancman already has 4 albums to his credit. A true passionate artist who has made her place in the French jazz scene to become an essential voice. André Manoukian also describes it in these terms “Sarah Lancman, velvet in her voice, the breath of the great, the right breathing of words and intentions”.
In the company of Noah Zagroun au piano, Laurent Vernerey on the double bass and Stephane Huchard on drums, with visits from Marc Berthoumieux on the accordion and Pierrick Pedron on saxophone, she will come to present her new album “Parisienne”, made of songs in French with covers of Michel Legrand, Charles Aznavour or Edith Piaf.

Nominated for the Victoires du Jazz 2021 in the Revelations category, Tony Paeleman knows how to surprise with its unique style. Whether leader or sideman, this pianist by training draws from the electronic universe. He surrounds himself with effects pedals, synthesizers and machines of all kinds as well as “reference” musicians in the field of electronics. On August 5, he will notably be accompanied by Julien Herné (electric bass) and Stephane Huchard (battery). The electric trio will ignite the stage of The Londe Jazz Festival.

Saturday August 6: Dal Sasso Big Band – Africa Brass. On stage, 14 musicians to revisit the work of saxophonist John Coltrane “Africa Brass”. An emblematic record because, throughout John Coltrane’s career, it is the only one to have been recorded in Big Band, that is to say in orchestral formation. At the head of the Big Band version 2022, Christophe Dal Sasso, one of the best-known French-speaking arrangers in France. An evening between blues, folklore and African sounds, which you can see once more Thursday August 11 at 12:20 a.m. on France 3 Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

Finally, at the end of the festival, Gil Aniorte Paz & Afrorumbaclub ” Marsellendo. Between Marseille and West Africa, we discover a colorful jazz between Latin and African influences. 15 musicians gathered around Radio Babel, Christophe Dal Sasso and the National Orchestra of Senegal.
