Jaylen Brown and Derrick White on Good Terms After Team USA Episode – TrashTalk

Among the various topics discussed at the Celtics Media Day on Tuesday, there was – unsurprisingly – that of Team USA. This summer, Jaylen Brown was snubbed by the American national team, while his teammate Derrick White was selected to replace Kawhi Leonard. But Boston fans can rest assured, all is well between them.

We still remember Jaylen Brown’s frustration when he learned that he was not in Grant Hill’s (Team USA manager) plans when Kawhi Leonard withdrew from the team before the Olympics. JB had notably pointed the finger at Nike based on cryptic tweets, all this while his teammate Derrick White was packing his bags to join Team USA ASAP.

This weird dynamic could raise some questions about the relationship between the two players. Questions that unsurprisingly appeared at the Celtics Media Day this Tuesday.

“There is no such thing as a taboo subject. It has never been an issue.” – Derrick White

Derrick White dispels the notion of any tension with Jaylen Brown as only he can:

Derrick White assures that everything is going well in his relationship with Jaylen Brown, who had indicated the same thing during the month of July. According to Ramona Shelburne ofESPNBrown had written directly to Derrick to assure him that there was nothing personal in his tweets, and that he was directly targeting Nike as well as Grant Hill.

In the end, Jaylen Brown is happy for Derrick White and the gold medal he won with the Avengers in Paris, and the two are now back together with a common goal: to achieve the back-to-back under the Celtics colors.

Everything else is in the past.
