Javiera Vallejo, the older sister of the minister spokesperson for the Government, took office this Tuesday as the new Chief of Staff of the Rectory of the Metropolitan Technical University (UTEM).

“I am pleased to inform you that, starting today, Tuesday, May 16, Javiera Vallejo Dowling, a journalist and social communicator from the University of Chile and a Diploma in Socio-environmental Studies from the same university, takes over as Chief of Staff of the Rectory,” he said. the student authority.

“She has vast professional experience, focused on community management and organizational communication, specifically on environmental issues, gender perspective and higher education,” she highlighted.

“Since 2017, it has been part of the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana, contributing to the management of Student and Community Development, where it has participated in various inter-state instances for the generation of actions around university coexistence, as well as in the development of policies of gender equality within our University”, he highlighted.

“He is also an active part of the Advisory Council of the Human Rights and Citizenship Program, and is currently a member of the Commemoration Committee for the 50th anniversary of the Coup d’état,” he added.

Likewise, Rector Durán recognized the work of Yohanna the Doves, currently dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who was in charge of the cabinet for almost two years, in addition to the Director of Development and People Management, Rodrigo Geldes Requena, who was in office on an interim basis.

Javiera is the older sister of the government spokesperson, Camila Vallejo, and they also share the second name “Amaranta”.
