He thus broke the New Caledonian record, a great progression according to his trainer, Eric Reuillard: “this performance constitutes a new New Caledonian record, it dispossesses Joachim Kiteau who had achieved this record in 2002 with 79.05 meters. It is therefore a very good performance, which came within 50 cm of the current French record. In addition, he did a double blow by winning the gold medal at this international competition, he is ahead of Australians and Americans who are regularly more than 80 meters away.

The minima (85.20 m) for the world championships in Budapest, in August 2023, are getting closer for Felise Vahai Sosaia.
