Jason momoa, known for his role as Aquaman in the DC universe, is set to take on another iconic DC character: Lobo. The actor confirmed his involvement in the upcoming film “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” via Instagram, sharing a screenshot of a past interview where he expressed his desire to play the role. “They called,” Momoa added in the caption.
momoa has long been linked to the Lobo role, even before James Gunn and Peter Safran took the helm of DC Studios. The plot details for “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” are being kept under wraps. Though, we certainly know that Milly Alcock, known for her role in “House of the Dragon,” will portray Supergirl. Matthias Schoenaerts (“the Old Guard”) is set to play the villain Krem of the Yellow Hill, while Eve Ridley will portray Ruthye Mary Knolle.
“Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” is based on Tom King’s 2022 comic book series of the same name, illustrated by Bilquis Evely. The film will be directed by Craig Gillespie (“I, tonya”) with a script by Ana Nogueira. James Gunn and Peter Safran will produce the project alongside DC EVP Chantal Nong.

**Jason Momoa:** That’s a secret for now! But I can say it’s going to be an epic ride. Supergirl versus Lobo? What could be more fun?

You’ve mentioned loving the comic books. Did you draw inspiration from any specific Lobo storylines?
**Jason Momoa:** Absolutely. I’ve been studying all the classics – the Keith Giffen and Alan Grant runs, particularly.There’s so much material to draw from. I want to capture the heart and soul of the character while also bringing something fresh to the role.

**Jason Momoa:** Not at all, brah! I love both characters. aquaman is the king of the sea – powerful, noble, a protector. Lobo is…Well, Lobo is Lobo. He’s a force of nature. It’s exciting to explore such different sides of myself as an actor.
