In a moment of general hilarity, Jason Bateman did not miss the opportunity to give a special look to the public when explaining that Michael Jackson was coming to visit his playmate – who was only a child – at his place of work. A reference to the accusations of sexual abuse of minors having targeted the singer. “I don’t… Hey! He was a fan of the series and a fan of Ricky,” he says.

“Michael Jackson arrived on the set while we were riding bikes and we almost killed him,” continues Jason Bateman, who played Ricky’s best friend in the sitcom, Derek Taylor, for two seasons (he will later be replaced by Alfonso Ribeiro, editor’s note). Fortunately, the King of Pop managed to get out of their way in time, avoiding the accident.
