Jaromir Jagr has managed to turn 53 when the season is over.

Then it is appropriate to stop playing, believes the Czech ice hockey legend.

“The final journey begins now”, he writes on Instagram.

Jaromir Jagr’s career is unparalleled in the ice hockey world.

On Wednesday night, he began his 37th (!) professional season when his Kladno faced Pardubice in the Czech Premier League. Admittedly, Kladno lost big with 1–5, but Jagr managed to provide an assist on the team’s only goal.

Before the game, Jagr confirmed, according to his agent, that this season will be the legend’s last. He even hinted about it on his official Instagram account.
