The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare stated that a total of 132,071 new confirmed cases were confirmed across the country on the 14th, including airport quarantine. As for the number of deaths, including the 503 cases on the 14th, the cumulative number of cases so far has reached 62,264.
Tokyo added 10,727 new confirmed cases on the 14th, a decrease of 8,903 cases compared with last Saturday, which has been lower than the same day last week for 3 consecutive days. At the same time, 33 new deaths were added.
NHK recently reported that the 8th wave of the COVID-19 epidemic in Japan has caused a sharp increase in the number of deaths.
