A unique event in Neuchâtel, the first Neuchâtel festival dedicated to Japanese culture, manga, pop culture and video games, is being held this weekend at the Littoral ice rinks. JapaNeuch promises complete immersion in the fascinating world of Japan, with a rich program of concerts, workshops and tastings of Japanese culinary dishes.
Organized by a passionate team, the JapaNeuch festival offers many booths full of drawings, clothes, pins, 3D prints, crafts and other artistic creations related to Japanese culture, animation heroes and pop culture. Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a real magical world where the symbols of Japanese culture are in the spotlight.
An anticipated highlight of this festival is the cosplay contest which will take place on Saturday and Sunday followingnoons. Cosplay consists of dressing up and playing the role of a fictional character straight out of a manga, anime or video game. This event offers a unique opportunity to qualify for the Swiss Cosplay League 2024, which will take place during Polymanga in Lausanne.
The music scene is also in the spotlight. After the only concert in Switzerland on Friday by Haruna Luna, a renowned J-Pop singer, Kai Eiden, a K-Pop, J-Rock and electro singer, will perform on Saturday evening during the festival. /dsa
