The Japanese Ryoyu Kobayashi won the 4 Hills Tour following a final competition won by Stefan Kraft in Bischofshofen. The jumper from the Land of the Rising Sun had already triumphed in the legendary sequence in 2019 and 2022.
World Cup leader Kraft won with jumps of 136.5 and 140 m. Kobayashi was only 1.3 points ahead following landing at 137 and 139 m. The day’s podium was completed by the Slovenian Anze Lanisek (134.5/141 m).
On the Swiss side, Gregor Deschwanden ranked 24th following jumps of 126.5 and 125 m. He was the only one of the four Swiss competing to reach the final. The Lucerne native was drafted as a lucky loser following his lost duel once morest Kobayashi.
Andreas Wellinger encore 2e
The Vaudois Killian Peier finished 38th (116 m), the veteran Simon Ammann 40th (115 m) and the young Remo Imhof 47th (110.5 m). All three clearly missed the mark to be among the top five losers.
In the final tour rankings, Kobayashi is ahead of German Andreas Wellinger by 24.5 points – already 2nd in 2018 – and Kraft by 32.5 points. Deschwanden finished 21st, quite far from his goal of top 10.
