Final Fantasy 16 has become a trend among Japanese Twitter users following Sony’s announcement of a PS5 price hike. Cause? Many urge to immediately port it to a PC, especially on Steam, so as not to buy a console.
As you already know, the company Sony announces PS5 price increasewhich is spread all over the world. Starting September 15, the PS5 Standard will cost 60,478 yen in Japan, up from 49,980 yen before. The Digital model, on the other hand, will cost 49,478 yen, while it used to cost 39,980 yen.
Since the news broke, many Final Fantasy 16 fans have complained that the price increase will keep them from buying a console they no longer consider affordable. Of course, they don’t want to give up on a new chapter in the saga, so they hope to have it on PC right away. Many are asking for it to be published on Steam, but there are also those who advocate the Epic Games Store, where some Final Fantasy and other Square Enix games, such as Kingdom Hearts, have been published as temporary exclusives in the past.
Some are even hoping for a PS4 release, but the PC version remains the most popular.
