This contest is a new video contest that is open to all creators, including professionals and amateurs, and was held in collaboration with the short movie platform TikTok and Nippon Television. With the theme of “vertical music videos” that use free expression methods such as live-action, CG, and animation, this project aims to discover various types of creativity unique to vertical format and discover new talented creators. .
We solicited works in the form of “vertical music videos” from December last year to February 13 of this year, and received over 500 submissions in total. Many excellent works were collected. The contest song is the famous 90’s song “WOW WAR TONIGHT ~ Sometimes Wake Up Movement (JO1 ver.)” covered by JO1. With respect, we updated the famous song that was all the rage in JO1’s unique style with rap and dance. The applicants incorporated new visual expressions into their songs. NAKAO won the artist award selected by JO1 members, Raito Teramura won the audience award selected by the public, Cedric Rolando won the runner-up grand prize, and NAKAO won the grand prize. NAKAO will receive a double award as well as the artist award.

The winning works will be broadcast on the Nippon TV program “SENSORS” and on outdoor signage.
In order to make the works submitted to the contest known to more people and to create an opportunity for creators to take the next step, the winning works will be introduced on the Nippon Television program “SENSORS”. The work will also be shown on outdoor signage in various locations from late March onwards.
