Tripbitoz announced that the number of reservations in Japan in September soared.

Tripbitoz explained that reservations for Japan travel increased in September due to expectations for visa-free entry to Japan, which will resume from October 11, and allowing individuals to travel freely. As a result of comparing the September reservation data with the August reservation data, it was found that the number of accommodation reservations in Japan increased by regarding 2,500%. In August, Japan ranked 22nd among all countries, but rose to second place in September.

The popularity of Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Osaka, which were popular destinations before COVID-19, continued. The order of reservations was Tokyo (36%), Fukuoka (24%), Osaka (22%), and other regions. According to Tripbitoz, customers using Japanese accommodation in September, on average, made a reservation regarding 57 days before departure, suggesting that many travelers are planning a trip to Japan following October 11th.

Tripbitoz Chief Data Officer Jang Yong-suk (CDO) said, “Demand for Japan travel is rapidly recovering due to the relief of COVID-19, free travel to Japan, and the impact of the low yen. We will provide lodging for you,” he said.
