Japan: Prime Minister dissolves parliament, announces new general election date – World

In Japan, the Prime Minister has dissolved the lower house and announced the date for the general elections.

According to foreign media, Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba dissolved the parliament. He has recently assumed the post of Prime Minister. Now the general election in Japan will be held on October 27.
