Japan’s Defense Ministry says it does not rule out the idea that North Korea has conducted submarine-launched ballistic missile tests, and says it is investigating.
The Japanese broadcaster, NHK, stated that the Japanese Ministry of Defense does not rule out that North Korea has tested, at dawn on Sunday, submarine-launched ballistic missiles, and that it is trying to verify whether it is similar to a missile tested in October 2021.
The TV channel added today, Sunday: “The Ministry of Defense believes that the missile launch point indicates that ballistic missiles were launched from submarines.”
According to the channel, “The Japanese Ministry of Defense is also analyzing the available data to verify whether the launched missiles belong to the same type of missile that was tested in October 2021 and which flew at that time on an unusual trajectory.”
