Wellington: Japan and Spain entered the quarter-finals of the Women’s World Cup. In the pre-quarter, Japan advanced by defeating Norway by three goals once morest one. Spain also crushed Switzerland 5-1.

Japan took the lead with a 15th minute own goal by Norway’s Engen. Reiten equalized for his side in the 20th minute but things changed in the second half.
