My Home 2, is a first home purchase program that follows the successful implementation of its original version, however, giving additional opportunities for more citizens to join the citizens. It includes expanded income and age criteria compared to My Home 1, providing low-interest loans with extremely favorable terms for beneficiaries, using resources from the Recovery Fund.
The new program will open in January 2025 and will cover 20,000 beneficiaries, although the financial staff’s expectations are that the demand will be even greater.
In particular, the My Home 2 program for the purchase of a first home, will give a 50% interest-free loan with resources from the Recovery Fund, and a 50% interest-bearing loan from a bank, while the interest rate will be moderately low, with the estimates of the authorities making account for below 2%, although the proposals of the banks are also expected.
The amount of the loan will be up to 190,000 euros and up to 90% of the contract. The loan term will be from 3 to 30 years.
My House 2: Even more “relaxed” membership conditions
The range of beneficiaries will also increase significantly as the income and age criteria are expanded.
In terms of age, citizens up to 50 years old will be able to apply, up from 39 years old in the original program.
Regarding the income criteria, the program concerns individuals or couples aged 25 to 50 with income:
- up to 20,000 euros for singles
- up to 28,000 euros for couples + 4,000 euros / child
- up to 31,000 euros for a single-parent family + 5,000 euros / child
Even greater facilities are provided to those with three children and many children as a 75% interest-free loan from the Recovery Fund and a 25% interest-bearing bank loan are provided. With reference to the characteristics of the properties, they should be worth up to 250,000 euros (contract value), up to 150 sq.m. and construction until 2007.
