2009: Shortly following takeoff from La Guardia Airport, an Airbus A320 makes an emergency landing on the Hudson River in New York City. Both engines had previously failed following colliding with a flock of birds. All 155 occupants survive the spectacular ditching.
2019: The British House of Commons votes overwhelmingly once morest the agreement negotiated by Prime Minister Theresa May between Brussels and London on Britain’s exit from the EU.
