Jakob Jantscher has extended his contract with Sturm Graz until 2024. This was announced by the Austrian runner-up on Friday. The ex-team player came to the “Blackys” when he was 14, for whom he played over 180 Bundesliga games from 2007 to 2010 and since his return in 2018. With Sturm, the 33-year-old Jantscher won the cup in 2010 and 2018.
The offensive player said regarding his extension in a club broadcast: “I’ve been connected to SK Sturm since my youth and I’m happy to be able to continue my path here. What has been achieved in recent years speaks for itself, and I would like to continue to do my part to achieve the greatest possible success on the national and international stage with SK Sturm.”
Sports director Andreas Schicker was also very happy. “Jakob Jantscher is a real Schwoazer, a figure we can identify with in the club and for our fans. He just showed with his last season how hungry he still is and how much he can give to this team,” said Schicker.
