“Today, I feel a little better, but my body is not ready to compete and I still feel very, very weak.
It doesn’t make sense to go out on the field and try to compete in this tournament.”
“(I’m very) disappointed because this is a tournament where I want to see how far my level is. That was one of my main goals
this week. But unfortunately I couldn’t make it happen,” continued the Italian.
Sinner holds a 65-6 win/loss record this season and has secured the position of world number one at the end of the year.

“The next three, four days, I (hope) to feel better and then I can start hitting and the main goal is Turin,” he added.
