Janin Ullmann: A Look at Love, Life, and Motherhood
From VIVA to Dating Coach
Janin Ullmann’s journey began with charming audiences on VIVA, where she became a beloved face on television. Today, she’s multifaceted, shining as both an actress and voice actress. Her impressive resume includes roles like playing the captivating dual characters of Lotte and Alex in the ProSieben telenovela “Lotta in Love.”
Since 2022, Ullmann has embraced a new role, guiding prominent single ladies in their quest for love as host of the dating format “Make Love, Fake Love.” Naturally, fans are curious about her own romantic life. Is this charismatic star dating anyone?
Although Ullmann was romantically linked to Brazilian footballer Neymar in early 2020, their connection ultimately fizzled out, leaving her to navigate singlehood. As she expressed in a 2021 interview, “I much prefer to be in a relationship and with someone because I really, really love it when you are together. “I’m definitely a relationship person, but that’s just the way it is. I can’t do magic.”
A Marriage Remembered
For a decade, Janin Ullmann was married to actor Kostja Ullmann. Meeting in 2008, they quickly became a celebrated couple, routinely making dazzling appearances on red carpets.
The duo sealed their love in 2016, exchanging vows after eight years together. However, the marriage sadly came to an end just two years later in a mutual decision.
“I think that was totally unexpected for many people and a little bit for us too,” Janin revealed in an interview. “This is definitely not something we wanted.” She continues to use the surname Ullmann.
During their relationship, Janin and Kostja’s marriage remained childless.
The reasons behind this remain private. Ullmann has, however, openly expressed her longing to become a mother.
A Mother’s Dream
Speaking candidly in 2021, Janin shared her heartfelt desire to experience motherhood. At the time, she said, “I am now 39 and single.
I would love to be a mother of two or three children – no question at all.”
Late pregnancies, like that of supermodel Naomi Campbell, who welcomed her first child at 50, offer Janin a glimmer of hope, reminding her that it’s never too late to fulfill that dream:
“Naomi became a mother at 50, so! Everything is not lost in my life – at least I hope so.”
How does Janin Ullmann believe financial independence relates to the themes explored in “Make Love, Fake Love?
