The renowned actress Jane Fonda has had the opportunity to share her most intimate thoughts regarding love and relationships at 85 years old. In a recent participation in the Absolutely Not podcast, Fonda expressed that she is not interested in seeking new romantic relationships. “I’m done, even in the dark I wouldn’t want to be naked in front of anyone,” she commented, hinting at her current stance on dating.

However, he surprised by indicating that if in the future he decides to accept a lover, he would have to be considerably younger. Fonda, who will celebrate her 86th birthday on December 21, admitted to feeling a revulsion toward her aging skin, including her own. “It should be someone 20 years old because I don’t like old skin,” she confessed on the program.

Despite these statements, the star of the movie Barbarella does not approve of relationships where an elderly person is involved with a young person, stating that he would not be able to put anyone in that situation. It is for this reason that she has decided to remain alone for the rest of her life, although from time to time she takes a “look” at young men.

“I disapprove of there being 86-year-old men with 20-year-old women, so I am not going to repeat it. “I can look at them, and I can’t pretend that I don’t get turned on if I see a certain type of person, but no, no, no, I don’t want to impose it on anyone,” Fonda said.

In her personal life, Jane Fonda has been married three times: to director Roger Vadim (giving birth to her daughter Vanessa), to activist Tom Hayden (having with him her children Mary Luana and Troy O’Donovan) and to CNN founder Ted Turner. Regarding Turner, her last husband, she commented that following the divorce they have maintained a good relationship and that she remains close to his five children. The actress also revealed a personal practice of writing letters to her ex-partners, thus venting her feelings.

“Well, at first, I wanted to kill him. She was very angry. So what I did, and it’s what I did with the other two before him, is I wrote him the letter that I really wanted to write him, which I still have. Don’t send it! But you write it and that helps.”

These days, Fonda focuses more on her female friends, many of whom are younger than her. When reflecting on her age with her friends, the actress noted that she is in a good emotional place, she feels centered and at peace with the course of her life and the proximity of death.

“If I died tomorrow I would be fine,” Fonda declared confidently. “I don’t have major traumas… and the younger ones, not so much. So that reinforces my idea that, if you know how to handle it, that age is great. If you are healthy.”

Jane has even planned her own funeral in detail, including guests, music and other aspects, although she insists that she does so without the intention of controlling, but rather with a touch of humor characteristic of someone who has lived fully.
