The Brussels public prosecutor’s office confirmed that a suspect had been arrested after the murder of Jan, found dead in his car rue de la Sérénade in Molenbeek on Wednesday.
He was brought before the investigating judge, charged with murder and placed under an arrest warrant. According to the Flemish press, the victim had been threatened for several months.
The Brussels public prosecutor’s office ordered the first investigation to determine the exact causes of the victim’s death. The king’s prosecutor descended on the scene on Wednesday with the investigating judge, the medical examiner, the ballistics expert and the laboratory of the Federal Judicial Police.
An autopsy has been requested.
