Bhubaneswar: Kerala Blasters lost in Kalinga Super Cup Football in Group B. Jamshedpur FC defeated Blasters by three goals to two. With the win, Jamshedpur reached the semi-finals from Group B. Blasters are out.

After two matches in the group, Jamshedpur is the first with six points. Even if they beat NorthEast in the final group match, Blasters will not be able to overcome Jamshedpur. If the points of Jamshedpur and Blasters are equal after the last group match, the result of the match between them will be considered for the semi berth.

Daniel Chima scored a brace for Jamshedpur while Dimitrios Diamantakos scored both for the Blasters. Blasters were the first to take the lead in the match. In the 28th minute, Dimitrios Diamantakos put the team ahead with a penalty for bringing down Blasters player Daisuke in the box. But in the 33rd minute, Jamshedpur equalized through Daniel Chima. The first half ended with the same score.

Daniel Chima then scored his second goal in the 57th minute. Chima netted the pass given by Stevanovic. But Chima’s foul in the 60th minute earned Blasters a second penalty. This time too, Diamantakos got past goalkeeper TP Rahanesh and brought the Blasters level in the 62nd minute. But in the 68th minute, the referee pointed to the penalty spot for Leskovic bringing down Chima in the box. Mansoro scored Jamshedpur’s third goal by kicking into the net.

The Blasters’ attempts to score an equalizing goal later failed to materialize. Chima was sent off for a foul on Leskovic in injury time. But Blasters could not find the equalizer in the next few minutes.
