Jamie Chadwick from Williams F1 “I don’t want to imitate Albon’s red hair”[F1-Gate .com]

Jamie Chadwick says he doesn’t take the superstition of dyeing the hair of Williams F1 teammate Alex Albon red.

“Because Williams’ car has been improved? Because he has become a team leader? Because he has gained experience? No, thanks to his redhead,” Alexander Albon will jokingly say about the main reason for the strong start of the season.

The origin of Alexander Albon’s red-haired superstition dates back to visits to children’s charities at the Australian Grand Prix and Thailand. One of the children dyed his hair red, judging that Albon would look better. After that, Albon scored the first point of the season with an amazing run in Melbourne with almost no tire changes. His red hair seemed to stay.

However, two weeks later, the dye diminished in Imola and crossed the line with no points, so Alex Albon decided to dye his hair red in earnest.

Alex Albon, who arrived at the Miamig GP track with bright red hair, scored two points in 9th place.

“No upgrades needed, just dye your hair!” Alex Albon jokingly told Sky Sport F1 after the race.

Alex Albon then revealed that he was betting on dyeing his hair red if he scored points at the Miami Grand Prix with his team members.

“Before the weekend started, I was talking about the whole team dyeing their hair red if they scored points this weekend,” said Alexander Albon.

“But when I went to the engineering room, everyone started to withdraw,’No, no, it’s a podium.’ I was like,’No, no!'”

But Williams F1 development driver and two-time W Series champion Jamie Chadwick says he doesn’t want to hurt his hair.

Jamie Chadwick, who won both the W Series opening races in Miami and succeeded on the weekend, confirmed that he would not follow Alex Albon’s lead.

Asked if he plans to dye his hair, Jamie 0. Chadwick responded to Sky Sport, “I’m going to do everything I did last weekend.”

“Fortunately, we don’t focus on dyeing hair red.”

“I’m sorry I don’t know what the result he’s doing right now has to do with the hair. He probably has to continue.”

“It was a great result for the team. I went to see him just before the race and I was disappointed after the qualifying but everyone was very happy at the camp.”

“They found it more valuable given how the pace was. I’m really happy that Alex was able to reward the team at those points, which is another step forward for the team.”
