Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) has decided to run its own movement without political alliance, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the experiences of political alliances in the recent past have not been good, the establishment should now go and take its internal affairs seriously. Maybe they are able to do it now.

Speaking to the media representatives at his residence in Dera Ismail Khan, JUI chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we do not want to embarrass anyone anymore, the experiences of political alliances in the recent past have not been good. Therefore, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam will run its own movement without any political alliance.

Maulana Fazlur Rahman further said that we will continue to play the role of opposition inside and outside the Parliament.

The JUI chief said that the establishment has now gone and taken its internal affairs seriously, perhaps they are capable of it now, so we are not their party in these matters.
