James Harden’s Bad Luck with Los Angeles Clippers: Clippers Lose 4th Game in a Row

2023-11-13 02:33:00

James Harden is obviously bringing bad luck to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers suffered a 105-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon, their fourth loss in a row. So, the Clippers are still looking for their first win with James Harden in the lineup.

LA has lost all four games in which Harden played. The Clippers’ new acquisition once again struggled on Sunday and was limited to 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 29 minutes of playing time, in addition to finishing the game with a minus-minus differential. 28, the worst on his team.

The observation is striking for Harden, who was limited to 54 points in a Clippers uniform, an average of 13.5 points per game. Harden has never collected more than 8 rebounds in a duel, nor even more than 6 assists.

Harden isn’t the only Clippers player to be handcuffed offensively on Sunday. Kawhi Leonard only had 14 points and 5 rebounds. Los Angeles remained in the game thanks to 26 points from Paul George, as well as 20 points from Norman Powell.

The Clippers’ game started off on a bad note, as the team was dominated 33-20 in the first quarter.

Los Angeles trailed by 11 points with a quarter to play. The Clippers, however, pulled themselves together and even managed to take a 95-93 lead with 3:09 to play. The Grizzlies, however, regained rhythm and headed towards victory, only their second of the season.

Desmond Bane was a big help for the Grizzlies with his 27 points, while Marcus Smart added 17 points. Bismack Miyombo finished the game with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Maxey electrifying for the 76ers

While everything seems to be falling apart in Los Angeles, it’s quite the opposite in Philadelphia, where the 76ers are still perfect since the Harden trade.

Thanks to a sparkling 50-point performance from Tyrese Maxey, the Sixers had the best by a score of 137-126 against the Indiana Pacers. This is a sixth victory in as many games since Harden moved to the Clippers.

Maxey reached 50 points in a game for the first time in his career. He became the youngest 76ers player since Allen Iverson in 1997 to score 45 or more points in a game.

And a sign that everything was going well for Maxey, he also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks to his haul. His teammate Joel Embiid was also a big help with 37 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists.

For the Pacers, Quebecer Bennedict Mathurin was limited to 9 points and 5 rebounds in 26 minutes of play. Tyrese Haliburton had a strong game with 25 points and 17 assists.
