American actor James Darren has passed away at the age of 88.
According to a statement from his official website, he died at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
His son, Jim Moret, confirmed the news to the Hollywood Reporter.
James was hospitalized for heart surgery but was not strong enough to proceed. Although he returned home briefly, he was readmitted later.
– I thought he would make it because he was so calm. He was always cool, Moret shared.
The family was able to say their goodbyes. Jim stated, “He was a good person. He was very talented. He was eternally young.”
