There are players who were born to play the Playoffs and there is no doubt that Jamal Murray is one of them. The Canadian has already had fantastic performances in the postseason and, 100% recovered from that serious knee injury in 2021, his superstar version in the decisive stretch of the year he is back.
Murray scored him 40 points (13-22 from the field) to the Timberwolves in Game 2 this Wednesday, so that Denver prevailed by 122 to 113 and will take a 2-0 series lead.
This was the fifth time Murray scored 40 or more points in 35 playoff games in his carrer. In contrast, in 410 Regular Phase matchessurpassed that figure in just four times.
The difference in averages between the postseason Murray and the Regular Phase is also notable: in the playoffs he averages 24.7 points, once morest 16.9 in the rest of the season. The evidence is clear: Jamal Murray in the Playoffs is a different animal than the rest of the year. And beyond that Nikola Jokic (27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists) is the Nuggets’ main hope for a championship, having recovered a side of such production has to leave Denver with very good feelings for what’s to come.

The Timberwolves came close to overcome a disadvantage that reached 21 points and if Denver had Murray in 40 units, the Timberwolves had a figure even above that mark: Anthony Edwardswho following a couple of rather dull matches on his part, exploded with 41 goals and a 14-23 field.
The problem for Edwards and Minnesota is that Karl-Anthony Towns had a night of those: 10 points, 3-12 from the field and foul problems throughout the game. Just as there are players who were born to play in the Playoffs, it is clear that KAT is not one of them.
