Gamal Allam, president of the Egyptian Football Association, confirmed that he assigned Hazem Emam and Mohamed Barakat, two members of the Gabaliya board of directors, to search for foreign coaches to lead Egypt national team in the coming period.

He added: “I went to him at the hotel and told him that you are with us in the national team, and this was in the presence of Walid Al-Attar, so the coach told me that he would travel to Portugal to consult his family before he responded to us, and everything that was said regarding me being the reason for his departure is not true.”
And he talked regarding contracting with Ihab Galal He said, “We were surprised by Queiroz’s decision, and the financial officer in the federation told me that we did not have the dollars to contract with a foreign technical director.”
He continued, “Ihab Jalal was attacked immediately upon his appointment, and this caused him to not have confidence in himself from the beginning, and the Minister of Youth pledged to provide dollars in the event of a contract with a foreign technical director.”
And regarding his position on Queiroz’s return to lead the national team if he accepts, he replied: “I have no problem with that, and he was getting 127 thousand dollars a month. Will he agree to return to this amount and Ihab Jalal’s salary is 725 pounds?”
And he added: “People think that the Football Association gets millions, as the president of the Federation does not receive a penny or a transfer allowance and works on a voluntary basis.”
And he resumed: “Hazem Imam and Muhammad Barakat demanded to study the biographies of foreign coaches for the Egyptian national team, and before the decision is issued, we will consult the experts in Egypt.”
He added: “Ihab Galal did not complete 10 days with the Egyptian national team, and we are saddened by what happened once morest Ethiopia, and we will not say any justifications, and if Mohamed Salah was present in this match, things would have been different.”
He concluded: “Why do we resign? .. If the General Assembly asked me to leave tomorrow, I will do so. I am not seeking the chair and I came for the service.”
