The director, Gamal Abdel Hamid, talked about the memories he had with the two show stars, Nelly and Sherihan, and about the human attitudes of each of them.
He said in statements to “Masrawy”: “Sherihan was doing good all the time. In Ramadan, she constantly organizes Rahman’s tables, and sends money to people who do not work.”
He revealed the truth about the statements attributed to him, about Sherihan’s position with the artist, Mohamed Heneidy, when he fainted as a result of an overdose of drugs.
He denied the validity of these statements, saying: “I do not know the subject of drugs.. All that I said is a situation that proves Sherihan’s humanity when “Heneidy” fainted for an unknown reason, while filming Fawazir “Needs and Needs.” She does not expose her colleagues to the issue and plunge them into a whirlpool of procedures.
He continued, “Thanks to Sherihan standing and begging the doctor, the story ended, and Heneidy was treated calmly, and we were not exposed at that time to the crisis of accountability and legal procedures.”
The director, Abdel Hamid, also recounted his memories with Nelly, and said: “She is the reason for my fame after my work with her in Fawazeer, A World of Paper,” adding: “Nelly and Sherihan are great stars that we miss now with the approaching month of Ramadan, and we miss the Fawazeer industry because of the poor capabilities and the producers’ unwillingness to enter An artistic adventure and a performance show like Zaman.
Abdel Hamid appealed to the producers to reconsider the fawazir he presented to them, but it remained locked in the drawers, and he said: “The fawazir is very expensive in which there are performances, musicians and actors, and I have 3 projects for fawazir that I presented to producers, one from the days of the late lyric poet Abdel Salam Amin, and another project from the writings The late poet Sayed Hijab, and the last one was written by the poet Jamal Bakhit.
And about the last fawazir, he said: “I also have fawazir by Gamal Bakhit. It is important and it talks about the achievements of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during 8 years. It is suitable for introducing people in Egypt and the world to Egypt, but unfortunately it has not been produced yet.”
And he considered that the artist, Donia Samir Ghanem, is the most current artist who can present fawazir.
It is noteworthy that the director, Gamal Abdel Hamid, was recently attributed to him controversial statements – he denied their authenticity – about the artist Mohamed Heneidy’s drug overdose during the scenes of filming Fawazir “Needs and Needs”, which exposed him to sudden fainting.
