Jamaat-e-Islami and Maulana Fazlur Rehman contact PTI, appeal to postpone October 15 protest – Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman postponed the party’s protest on October 15 ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit. Appealed to do so.

PTI Member of Assembly Asad Qaiser said in a statement that Maulana Fazlur Rehman had a telephonic contact and consulted him regarding postponing the protest in Islamabad and constitutional amendments.

He said that Maulana Sahib has appealed to postpone the October 15 protest in the context of Shanghai Conference and he has demanded to provide medical facilities to Imran Khan and give access to his personal physician.
