Jalen Carter settles his reckless driving and racing charges: Is he still a top prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft?

Jalen Carter pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charges he received for reckless driving and racing in Athens, Georgiaan incident that occured the same night that unfortunately ended up with Georgia Bulldogs OL Devin Willock and a member of the recruiting staff from the team losing their lives in a crash.

The Chicago Bears who now hold the #9 overall pick said they’ll set up a visit from Carter to the team.

What was Jalen Carter sentenced for reckless driving and racing?

Carter was sentenced to one year probation, pay a $1,000 fine and complete 50 hours of community service and a state-approved defensive driving course.

Carter expressed he entered the no contest pleas as a way to resolve this matter in the most efficient manner possible.

“Mr. Carter continues to grieve the loss of his friends and continues to pray for their families, as well as for continued healing for injured friends,” the statement expressed.

Jalen Carter struggled at his Pro Day in Georgia

Jalen Carter visibly struggled during his Pro Day with the Georgia Bulldogs wheighing 323 pounds, seven pounds heavier than the 314 pounds he weighed at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Carter helped lead Georgia’s defense to achieving back-to-back NCAA’s national championship.
