Not all Mikes are the same. Jake Paul had no problem with Mike Perry, the man who replaced Mike Tyson in Tampa on Saturday night. Especially because this Mike didn’t even look like a boxer between the ropes. That’s not so strange, after nine years without those big gloves around his fists. Those kinds of opponents for Paul, the greats of the world are completely done with. Including Conor McGregor.

The crowd in Florida went wild for the master entertainer, who appeared in a gladiator suit and challenged Brazilian UFC champion Alex Pereira in the ring afterwards. “I am the king here, come over here,” Paul said to the 37-year-old Brazilian, a Glory Hall of Famer by the way. Within a minute, he was on the phone with the self-made cash cow via FaceTime. But that was not all, because McGregor did not enjoy it to say the least…
“Jake Paul is the biggest p*issbag I’ve ever seen in my life,” he wrote on X, where he rarely misses an opportunity to trash Paul’s fights. “Forty pounds of weight difference and the sweat is being squeezed out of his head and he’s still shitting his pants in the ring.”

Jake Paul has an answer ready for Conor McGregor
Of course, the friend of skater Jutta Leerdam and king of the hype had the answer ready. “Conor is on Twitter all the time (now X, ed.) or on his yacht, but guess where he isn’t? In the ring, fighting me. So he can talk all the f*ck he wants, but The Notorious MMA (with a funny voice, ed.) is afraid of Jake Joseph Paul from Disney Channel.”

That will undoubtedly have a sequel. More and more big fighters are tired of seeing Paul acting the big man, while his opponents have little to no boxing level. It would not be strange if the trend that has now arisen is precisely Jake Paul’s way of getting big names in the ring with him. Then he has created the ultimate podium for himself after all. Although for the time being no one is biting the bait thrown out.
Stomach Ulcer Mike Tyson
Paul was originally scheduled to fight Mike Tyson in Florida, but the 57-year-old boxing legend suffered a stomach ulcer in the build-up. That fight has been postponed to November 15. Mike Perry seemed lost in the ring. He had not boxed for nine years and was fired after being knocked out by the BKFC, where fighting is done without gloves. He went to the canvas easily in rounds one and two and when that happened again in round six, the ref stopped the fight. Paul won by technical knockout.
